The Courier of the Czar - WIP 2

here is some of yesterday's work for this project

Quick color wash on the line up- I will try a taller Alexander version this week to make up for last weeks version, so hold on to your knives my dear Russian friends. I am making changes but with the amount of work it's hard to keep up with all the notes..

as you can see some of the images are not up to date with others, and nothing is in a finished state

this is a first character pass, black and whites, to see the direction I'm taking with the story "Michael Strogoff - The Courier of the Czar"

The Flying Monkeys

Wizard of Oz flying monkeys and some process sketches.
those are actually more ape like, but I wanted them to look like the clever nutcases I always imagined them , after reading the part they take tint-man apart and bit up Lion.

Hi all!

I had some time to sketch today waiting for prints to be ready
so here is my take on the blue flame dragon

the smaller one is a paint over after notes from my friend Edmund Liang (massive talent)
I will have time to fully paint it later on

Out of the swamps

"design a fantasy dog and come up with a story"- I came up with an old, kind but misunderstood, witch, wondering the swamps saving lost kids. she is blind, deaf and can't smell- wear and tear of magical life in the swamps- so she created those 3 guide dogs to assist and protect her.

that is the rough sketch for my idea.
please excuse the sloppiness.

ראשית, שנה טובה בריאות והצלחה לכולכם!

אני מבין שיש מצב שנוצר רושם של טיפוס קצת מלוכלך, כזה שלא מכבד מהצ'יטוס, ומת לבד, אבל ביקר לי, אני לא.
אינני משתף כי אין לי במה. במשך הקיץ חזרתי לעבודה נונסטופ על פרוייקט שיצא רק ב2012 אם בכלל
(משהו בסגנון גברים בשחור פוגש את אינדיאנה ג'ונס, לא סרט אנימציה) באולפני דרימוורקס.
בשעות ה"פנאי" אני עובד על פרוייקט הגמר האישי שלי וגם הוא מורחק מן הרשת. באמת שאין כלום מסביב.
אבל הסתיימה העבודה לקיץ הזה. שבתי השבוע לסיים את לימודי, ויהיו מעט יותר דברים להעלות בשבועות הקרובים.

בינתיים - סקיצה משיעור "דרמטיק נרטיב" בו מקבלים משפט מתסריט, או טריטמנט, ללא ההקשר, ועלינו לכלול את כל התאור הכלול בו בשוט אחד.
הפעם זה היה משהו כמו :"...כאשר הגיבור הלא צפוי\מוכן\שגרתי הציל את אוטובוס הקומותיים עמוס התיירים מנפילה מן הגשר המתמוטט אל הים " יש ארבע שעות עד סוף השיעור מדפיסים. תולים על הקיר- ויש ביקורת.

שלבים בעבודה חלק א

אני מקווה ליצור יותר מהדגמה אחת בעתיד כך שאוכל לשתף במספר גישות לצביעה. זו הגישה המועדפת עלי כשאני מעוניין בתוצאה צבעונית עשירה יחסית. כמובן שביקורת, הכוונה, ותמיכה נפשית מבורכות שהרי הציור הזה נעשה בשביל הבלוג ואני אשתדל ליישם את העצות שלכם במטרה להגיע לתוצאה מעניינת.

לפניכם שלבי הסקיצה בחיפוש אחרי מפתח צבעוני
אינני יודע מתי אספיק לסיים את שני הציורים, כך שאשמח לשמוע אם ישנן העדפות לתהליך הצביעה של אחת מהן, סצינת היום או הלילה.
